Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Movers Fulham in respect of our most recent financial year. It outlines the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within our operations and supply chains. Movers Fulham is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and with integrity in all our relationships.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Movers Fulham provides removals and related services to residential and commercial customers. Our activities involve direct employees, contracted drivers and porters, and a range of suppliers who provide vehicles, equipment, storage, packaging materials, and ancillary services. We recognise that modern slavery risks can exist at multiple tiers of the supply chain, including logistics, temporary labour, and the manufacture of materials used in our services.
We are committed to understanding these risks and working proactively with our suppliers and partners to ensure that the rights and dignity of all workers are respected.
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery
Movers Fulham has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in any form. This applies to all aspects of our business and to all individuals working for or on our behalf, regardless of their location or role.
We expect the same high standards from all our suppliers, contractors, and business partners. We will not knowingly work with any organisation that fails to uphold these principles. Where concerns are identified, we will take appropriate action, which may include requiring corrective measures, suspending engagement, or terminating contracts.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We are developing and implementing supplier standards that set out our expectations in relation to modern slavery, labour rights, and ethical conduct. These standards form part of our supplier selection and ongoing approval processes.
Movers Fulham conducts proportionate audits and checks on key suppliers based on risk, such as the nature of the goods or services provided, the geographical location, and the use of subcontracted or temporary labour. These audits may include requests for information on labour practices, site visits where appropriate, and review of policies, training, and procedures. Where gaps or risks are identified, we work with suppliers to address them within a reasonable timeframe.
Due Diligence and Risk Management
Our approach to managing the risk of modern slavery includes screening new suppliers, reviewing existing supplier relationships, and monitoring higher-risk areas of our operations. We aim to integrate modern slavery considerations into our broader risk management and procurement processes.
We will continue to assess our business and supply chains to identify areas where modern slavery risks may be more pronounced and prioritise our efforts accordingly.
Training and Awareness
Movers Fulham is committed to raising awareness of modern slavery among our employees and key suppliers. Relevant staff receive guidance on recognising indicators of modern slavery, understanding reporting procedures, and supporting responsible sourcing practices. We encourage a culture where concerns about unethical behaviour or treatment of workers can be raised without fear of retaliation.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We strongly encourage employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking associated with Movers Fulham or our supply chains. Concerns may be raised through internal reporting lines or directly to senior management.
All reports will be treated seriously and, where possible, confidentially. We will investigate concerns promptly and take appropriate action in line with our zero-tolerance policy. We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually by the management of Movers Fulham to assess the effectiveness of our actions and to identify opportunities for improvement. The review considers changes in our business, developments in legislation, and evolving best practice in ethical sourcing and labour standards.
We are committed to continuous improvement and will update our policies, procedures, and training as necessary to further strengthen our response to the risks of modern slavery. This statement has been approved by the management of Movers Fulham and will be updated and published on an annual basis.
